I have a 2002 and I knew it had a cabin airfilter. Never thought too much about it until I started checking this section of the forum. I see many articles on how to retrofit later, but not how to change a 2002. Looked once but became lazy....:( Can someone tell me how easy is is and what a putz I am!!........ ):h

There are several postings on this, but first remove the two screws holding the passenger side floorboard cowling up. There is a third screw over the center hump. DO NOT remove this one unless you want eternal aggrevation re-inserting it. Just pull the cowling down enough to remove a small screw holding an "L" shaped cover about 1' wide. Remove this cover and you will see the bottom of one of the two filters in side-by-side. Remove the other filter. Reinstall by pushing up one of the filters, then pushing it forward. The 2nd filter will squeeze in beside the 1st one and seal off any gaps. Don't force it 'cuz you don't want wrinkles or creases. Simply reverse procedure to re-install. For further info check out the DIY section. There are pix there.
