Hey guys,
My boss has a cummins and is looking to put stacks on it. Is there any diameter that you would consider too big? Also, any links with sound files would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

All my buddies that run stacks seem to like the 5 ". I have two friends that have dodges and they sound great!! Basically like a big rig. I think that 6" is too big for a pickup. I'm sure someone here has a sound clip.

Regarding your opinion that 6" is too big - is it for flow reasons or just the look?

I've had 5" before and I think they perfect. Haven't seen any pics but I think 6" would be HUGE. Go look on www.turbodieselregister.com There are lots of pics of stacks on Dodges in several threads.

The reason for saying that is becuase big rigs have 6" stacks. They just look a little funny. My buddies with 5's love them. GOod luck and remeber if you can't fill them with smoke don't get them!

If the truck isn't lifted and wearing bigass meats, go with the 5" stacks.
If it is lifted and running big meats, use 6" to keep the looks in proportion.
