First of all let me say hello, being that I'm a long-time lurking newbie.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
My question is - Does anybody know how much it cost to replace the injectors on the LLY being that they are accessable from the outside?

no parts or in use yet. gm is just getting the lly on the dealer lots. was working on an 04 lly that needed a fuel pump and bosch has stopped production until march 17 or so. the must be producing parts for ford or dodge.
Thanks for the reply --- My thinking is with everybody talking $5000 for injectors - that if, with this design change (LLY), if it only cost $1000 to replace the injectors - then thats not much more than the price GM wants for the 100,000 service for the gassers - unless I'm
totaly wrong about the gasser price. I do agree that extra
filtration can't hurt.
On a side note - my neighbor who is chemist (for diesel fuel additives) told me that he went to a filter convention in San Antonio and the talk was that they were having problems with static electricity in the filters - compared it to suffeling your feet on the carpet. Anybody hear of this?

Patrick- So what about the LLY fuel pump? Does this truck sit until the pump comes in? I would be livid! I'm getting a little worked up thinking about the possibility.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif

Same injector but different location isn't it? The injector is what makes the price high from what I've seen on the board, 8 X $500 each.

Taco, It definitely is not in our filter. Our system is metal and grounded. Later! Frank
The LLY injectors are a little different. Not sure of the specifics but i think part of it is the fuel port is on a different angle.

Don't forget, the injector cup is not present on the LLY. The head is a new design. So I would expect the injectors to be different.
