Sorry another newbie here. Today I was on the interstate and passed another vehicle when my whole truck felt like riding a bull it just slammed and rpm's went to 3000 until I got into town then it shifted fine but the SES light is still on.
#2 Will the DIC actually show trouble codes or do you have to get somebody to scan it to see if there are any?
#3 Sometimes it seems that it will stay around 2000 rpms in 5th around 55ish and won't get any higher unless I stand on the pedal.

well it should shift fine after a few cycles of the key i can't remember if the ses goes out to or if you have to have the code cleared with a scanner i always did mine with a scanner someone chime in about the ses light please

What do u have and any power adders would be a great help.

If u limp alli it's in 3rd gear and no reverse until u shut it off for 30 seconds or so.

If it shifts ok and has reverse but won't rev over 2000 rpm it's engine related and could be a dirty fuel filter.

Dmax tim, Its stuck in 4th gear, not 3rd. And yes no reverse, thats the " Limp mode" It will limp in 5th gear,(Weakist clutch's) But i do think you can limp it in 4th as well, but you gotta be packing some serious JUICE!!!!

I'm trying to figure out what he's got, seems he has a limping alli and 1093 problems.

Sorry I've been hunting for the last three days and haven't been able to update. My truck is an 03' lb7 only mods are Banks Six Gun w/ Speed Loader, Big Head Waste Gate, Guages and a Mac Air Intake. The SES light did go away after about the third time I started it and drove it for about 2 miles.

Can anyone tell me if I did limp it?
