I currently have a hypertech tuner. It gives a noticable gain in power but ive been reading about the Wester custom PCM. I like the fact that it eliminates the torque management, which my hypertech does not do. If i did get a Westers tune, would my tranny suffer? I have 70K on the truck right now.

My uncle just had this tune put in his truck. He is really impressed so far. I would imagine that over time the tranny will crap with the added power but its sooooo fun:D

TB, I installed my Westers 89/91 dual tune a little over a year ago and it's just been awesome. I had Lyndon remove as much TM as he thought was safe, and the tranny (4L80-E) has performed flawlessly. He firmed up the shifts and they are MUCH quicker/firmer, but the tranny don't bang into the gears. He also changed the shift points for both normal and wot shifting. I recently changed the fluid and filter @ 26,000 miles and took the used fluid to my dealer for disposal and the tech ask me why I was throwing away the new looking fluid, so I don't think my tranny is suffering at all...the Westers is probably prolonging it's lifespan. BTW a friend has the same truck as mine and after driving mine said he wished he had the Westers rather than the Hypertech he installed. There's a few other turners now with prices alot lower than a Westers tune, but if I bought a new truck today I'd still put a Westers pcm in it. It's been the best $ I ever spent on performance. I'm getting an honest 14mpg average outa my 6.0L with LT285/75R16 tires and 410 gears. Good luck
