Here's one for all you tire experts. The OEM tires on the D/A are load rated "E". If I change tire sizes & end up with ones rated "C" or "D" will the extra weight of the diesel motor on the front cause excessive wear? What other problems could result from this swap?

If u go up in size some of the tires have a higher weight capacity w/ a D rated tire than the stock E rated.


I wouldn't put a C rated tire on for it.


Look at the load capacity (stay over 3000#) to base the tires on not D or E rating.


The bigger tires have more air and rubber to dissipate (sp) the heat that the tires make so more load capacity.


Also bigger D rated tires should ride better than smaller E rated because of less air pressure to carry the same weight.
