My 04 Crew Cab"s A/C and vent system is blowing dust and ashes all over me! Even when the system is on recirculate it still blows in dirt, if it's dusty outside. I have the LT model with dual climate control. I live near the recent fires in SO. CA., thats why I'm getting ashes!


What was GM thinking?

I had read GM removed it because owner's never serviced it anyway. Heard rumor that retrofit may be possible, maybe moving this thread TTT will generate an answer, as I am interested as well.

I find that really irritating that they removed the filter, because where we use our trucks around the farm we are constantly in dust. I have to clean the filters pretty often, but that is way better than being covered in dust all the time. This is one thing I know I will be mad about if I get a new truck.. Dumb idea GM.. I would rather give up the dual climate controls to get the filter back.
