I'm getting about 16.5mpg around town & 19.5on the road.I finally did some heavy towing last week an dthe mileage dropped .Also ordered a new 5thwheel travel trailer last week. What is the best thing to doto increase overall mileage,and especially when I'm towing.In other words I'm just getting started with this truck & am looking for the right direction without totally breaking the bank or voiding the warranty.

By installing a high flow air filter and a good 4" exhaust system you should gain 1-2 MPG on a stock truck and maybe pick up a couple HP.


I have the Edge Juice on my truck. When I have it set on power level #5 I've gained as much as 3 mpg on the Hwy. But I'm not sure how much gain you can get while towing a trailer because you have to set it on level 1-2 to keep the EGT's down but it should be worth a couple MPG's.
