i see that the SEMA show is going on now, meaning the tuners will come out soon...

i was thinkin about the duramaximizer... has anyone used it ?

i'm new to the whole diesel performance concept, i'm only 21... this is my first diesel

i see that the tuners de-fuel to prevent tranny slipping, could i get away with ONLY upgrading the converter ? to prevent slippage ? or is the whole upgrade a "must" ?

which programmer company/model should i go with (when they're released of course) ??

what should i do ? i want it to be quick-fast, but not insanely fast and i dont want to lose reliability.... or spend crazy amounts of money...what can i get away with without going all out...

i make good money, but i want to concentrate other things, and save some.

please help guys... i cant figure out what to do. the truck is an everyday driver, and i need to give her some balls. no pun intended

moving to LLY Electronics.

browse/search through the Power and Performance section for some answers.

Okay you have an 06 LLY...which is different the the 04 05 LLYs. You also have the six speed alli which is different than all prev. year Dmaxs. No converter is out yet to my knowledge. The Duramaximizer is a fuel pressure box...most here same to think those are bad boxes(not liked) because the fuel rail was not designed for the increased pressures, however many here have run pressure boxes for quite some time with no problems. The Duramaximizer is the only box out for the 06 LLY at this time. I am not sure how the six speed ally fairs in the power dept. but its holding cap. is greater than that of the 5 speed(the trans you most likely read about on here).

There are no trans upgrades yet but there is no point going to all the trouble to change the Torque converter and not upgrading the trans while you are there. The most expensive part is the R&R and the torque converter itself.

Max are you saying that a converter from the 5 speed will work in the six speed?? I guess it would?? The converter that comes from the factory has changed thou correct??

I don't know if it will work or not. Talk to Mike L, Eric or Smoop.
