It's their Duramaximizer. Guess it works on 06 LLY and LBZ's.

Cool. Duramaximizer is a pressure box isn't it?

Yes. I don't know anyone who is running one yet. I'll call them Monday and ask questions.

What does a pressure box do?

UP rail pressure to make more power.

Been waiting to try this on the LLY. Guess I'll be calling Joe on Monday.

Isn't upping the Fuel rail pressure what causes problems when modifying the Duramax?

And the 2006 trucks already have a higher rail pressure to begin with! 26,000 PSI versus our 23,200 PSI...

Some thought so.....but I duno if anyone can say for certian one way or another

It was the first kinda box out for the LB7 just becasue its easier to fool the computer to giving more fuel than acutally writing a program for it.

One things if for sure, higher rail pressure isn't going to help anything last longer. While we don't know for sure if it will hurt in the long run we know there are better ways to fuel. If I had an LBZ you can bet I would have the first box that came to market until something better came out.

me too, even if it is only 100hp at the rears it still is better than stock , especially with a 360 hp stock engine

I've been running it now for a few years on my LB7, no problems.

It's better than nothing and before long the market will catch up.

I'm waiting for something better. Just increasing rail pressure isn't what I want. I'm going to hold out for a real tested program.

PPE won't release the DMaximizer for the LLY. It's very tempermental and randomly 1093's anytime it feels like it...T

1093's are easy to get rid of. :)

I have been told that the electronics and basicly everthing other than the program in the ecm is the same on the 06 LLY's and LBZ's. I wonder though if only the LBZ's have the heavier block and that is why they waited to up the hp and tq?

The LBZ and LLY have the same Block according to GM......:)

what are 1093's?

Diesel Tech

The LLY use both the old and new block but most were made with the old block. From what I've been told they switched the block as a running change over.

1093's are fuel system code which the LLY is prone to set with modified tuning.
