Went to hook up the race trailer last night and the hot wire feed into the trailer plug is dead; is there a fuse or something hidden somewhere in one of the fuse blocks? We could not find anything in the manuel about a fuse for the battery feed to the trailer connection? What do we need to look for?

Thanks

Check Stud #1 in the fuse box on the left (drivers) side of the engine compartment. In the upper left space marked Stud #1, there is space w/no fuse in it. There is a 40a fuse taped to the trailer brake control harness that comes with the trucks that have the tow package. The harness is usually stored in the glove compartment. Install the fuse in the panel and your set.

You know we looked at that and when we put the brake controller in we saw that fuse but the instructions on it said that if you have the dual batteries or the diesel engine, you do not need the fuse and to just discard it. (we kept it to replace another one if it blows). There is a red fuse "plug" in that space that just seems like a filler plug but the manual says that nothing is to go in there is you have the diesel. If I get a chance, I will go out and try it at lunch and see if it fixes the problem.
