So how are the new LLY's?


Have any of the new DMAX owners drove both. I am interested to hear some comparisons.


Mine is only 6 mos old and I want a new one!!!

I have driven both and just got my new LLY last week. 18.2 mpg first tank. No waiting on glow plugs, just get in and start it! Much more peppy on acceleration than the 03. I love it!

I think they are kinda doggy at 1600rpm, about 50mph, in 5th, clutch locked.Try to accellerate and it does not seem to respond well. So far i like my LB7 better.

I was out at a dealer this past Saturday and drove to diesels. The first was a regular cab 2500HD 4x4 with the old Duramax in it and the second was the brand new 3500 SRW 4x4 extend cab LT with the new LLY Duramax. The new LLY in the 3500 just drove and performed so much better. It just seemed smoother to me. The turbo seemed to spool up quicker and the motor was not as loud as the old Duramax. I had never driven a diesel before, but it was a sweet truck. Love the larger rims and tires as well. Has a much tougher looking stance. The 3500 only had 6 miles on it when I started my test drive. Had 14 or so when I got back. I may be looking to try and get a diesel, but not sure if the finances are going to cooperate. GM is offering good finacing so it may be possible. We will see what happens. Love the new Duramax though!
