Quick question. I need to go back to stock for a dealer visit(power seat is crazy and allignment). When going back to stock does that automatically put the tire correction back to stock or do I have to modify parameters?? Just a little confused after reading though the manual!!
I have nightmares of a supertuner that fried my ECM in my 01 gasser-:t
thanks

IIRC when going back to "stock" all the parameters will also be back at their defaults. When I re-load my tune after going back to stock, I have to modify the parameters again.

Why give them a reason to deny warranty in the future. Anybody who knows anything about these trucks should be able to tell when there is more HP underfoot by driving it a short distance.
Also, better safe than sorry - you never now when a dealer might "Do you a favor" and decided to update your PCM.

Stock is stock so long as you aren't sending the tuner to Diablo. The "Restore and Reset" will clear all tire and speed limit changes and delete your stock tune from memory. You will then "re-marry" the tuner to the truck the next time you plug it in and go to tune.
Programming to stock tune is quicker and keeps the stock tune on board. If a software update is applied by the dealer, it will be lost when you tune the vehicle as the current OEM file is what is stored in memory.
Restore and reset takes longer and will pick up any software updates that may be applied and store them the next time you go to tune.

Well power seat was a software update, and wasn't sure if I need to be "factory"
Secondly, why take a chance.
On a side note, they ask me if I had used a programmer!!! I felt it was a set-up, and replied that those programmers are to scary for me and I did want to jeopordize my warranty.):h They then went on to tell me what a difference they make, small stories about customers with bully-dog and banks---yea what ever, I'm to scared!!

Thank for the more detailed explanation! Makes perfect sense now. Re-tuning seems like it takes for ever, even longer when I but 285 as the factory tire size:mad: and had to do it all over again.

I can't find the "restore /reset" or "stock" options on my Predator. I only see the HP tunes and the last on the list is "restore factory tune". Were are they? Is it possible the LLY and LB7 tunes look differently??
So if I understand this ,all I need to do is return it back to FACTORY tune and it will return the tire size and speed limit to the factory setting. is to go to tune and select factory tune . I want to return the Preditor to Diablosport for updateand I want to make sure it will unlock(unmarry) it .at the same time Ill take it to the chevy dealer to get my belt chirp fixed AGAIN .
