Guys,
I have had quite a few questions regarding EFI Live.
Just to clarify. EFI Live is available now!
It is currently the best software on the market for tuning and data logging Gen 3 Gm LS-1 style engines.
The Duramax functionality will be added sometime in December with a simple software download over the Internet.
The data logging and code clearing aspects are far superior to a Tech 2 in that you can chose the PIDs you want to record. Your not limited like the Tech 2 is, to choosing from a preset group of PIDs in each menu.
You can also clear or search for all codes at one time. Where as the Tech 2 requires that you search different menus for codes.
So if you have an LS-1 style vehicle and want to start your learning curve you don't have to wait for December.
If your using it for your Duramax only, you can still begin to familiarize yourself with the software between now and December.
Another feature to note: You can download code from as many vehicles as you wish, it only locks a license when you upload. :D
So even if you have locked the software to your truck and your buddy's truck using the two licenses supplied in the Personal version($699.00), you can still download tunes from as many other trucks as you wish.
If you want to upload to a third truck you can purchase an additional license over the Internet for $99.00.
Also, you can data log from as many vehicles as you wish within the supported platforms.
Commercial version $849.00
And the Workshop version (Kennedy?) ):h :D has unlimited licensing for $6,980.00
