Sorry if this has been asked before. When you get a Suncoast or equivelent, does 1st and 5th still hold back on power? I figure it still does because it is probably computer related. Now can the computer be tricked with some sort of "finger" so we can get all the power all the time? Or would that not be a good idea? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I'm still pretty new here. Thanks
Albie

Yes, it will still hold back power in 1st and 5th gear I beleive...there is no way to change it...so far no one has cracked the Allison TCM. Its too bad, because it would be a huge advantage if we could control things in the TCM, like Ford and Dodge guys can...

Thanks Ben,
I kinda figured it had been discussed before. There's some smart guys on here and i'm sure if it can be done they will figure it out.

The ECM and motor cut the power, some of the programmers give full power in low and hi gear.

Like Tim said, its not the trans cutting power, its the PCM
