I am thinking of getting a 3" body lift kit. So far, I don't see one for the Dmax. I will have to fabricate brakets for my front end replacement anyway, and I'm thinking making brackets for the intercooler should be doable as well.


My father-in-law is a master welder with 40+ years automotive experience and he has volunteered to help.


What challeneges will we face making these additional brackets for the aftermarket bumper and the intercooler? Anything else to consider?

i would think any body kit that will fit a 02 2500 hd with a bumber kit will be fine. the thing is though they cost like 250 for a bds one.

If the intercooler is the only issue with a diesel, then it's a piece of cake. All that is needed is some more intercooler hose to account for the extra lenth the hose will have to go after the lift.
