My Trip To The Dealer:
I Puchased Tow Mirrors From (tophog)http://home.comcast.net/~tophog/duramax/mirrors/GM_Mirrors.htm
And Finally Found Someone To Reflash My Computer So They Work. He Works For GMC Dealer.I Did Not Know This Guy So I Took Out
My Juice Just In Case. He Was Able To Do It In Less Than Hour,Mirrors Work Great, But He Took Me Aside And Asked
If I Unpluged Any Thing Just Before I Came In To See Him, I Said NO, He Said He Found History Codes About 12 Of Them
In The ABS And Traction Control.I'v Been Running Level 2-2 Defuel All Shifts

NOw Is This Normal Or Does My Juice Have A Problem? And Is tech2 The Only One That Can Read These Codes If It Is Should I Look
Into Buying One?

I Amost Forgot I Have The Overhead Mount For The Additude He Never Said Anything About It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Edited by: RUMAXED

I wouldn't think that would be juice related. Juice can't even alter VSS so I doubt it could throw and brake related codes.

Buy that and get a laptop. You can check, clear codes, setup different tables to view while driving. Just like a snap-on scanner but easier to read.

Thats not good news. Did you disconnect your batteries before the juice? I always do that.

You can just tell him that slippery ice and snow are the problem. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Could it be the 265/75's causing the codes? IIRC, different sized tires will mess with the abs system, correct?

1. What does IIRC mean?

2. How can tire size mess with ABS or anything else? I still dont get that. As long as all four tires are the same circumference......Edited by: 2MuchFun

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly

I believe read that the abs will act differently with taller tires. I think it has to do with the fact that they are not turning as fast as the 245's would be. Maybe some of the techs here will shed some light on this.

Thanks!

I got cut off by a lady in a Taurus. Changed lanes in front of me and never knew how close she came to getting creamed! Never even saw me! ~~Anyway, my antilocks worked VERY well with my 315s on.

Eh.. who knows?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Did you ever think that maybe he seen the Edge Attitude and was testing ya ?? But you answered correctly .... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif

Anyway who knows how long the codes were in the ECM .... Did you get spacific DTC numbers ?? Could be as simple as a lose connection ....

A Pred or Quad will read all the codes in the ECM ... We can check in Feb when Nick comes to CT ....

If I go meet up with him after he screwed all my AOL buddies now they can't log on ...

Interesting. I have been having trouble logging on. Only on this forum. Almost every other day I have to weed thru my 'puter and delete a bunch of cookies, temp internet files, etc. I've been off for almost a week this time . . . . .http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Syclone;

I read most of what was on this site. Looks cool! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif I do have one question though:

I have read on some forum (maybe GMC-diesel.com?) that the GM ECMs record and save some operational date such as top speeds, RPMs, and dates. In at least one thread I read there was a law suit where the judge directed a dealer to go pull this kind of data off the vehicle's 'puter. Inpacted the results of the case significantly. Question: Is the possible/true? If so, is it the ECM that does thid? Is there some nomenclature for this activity? Finally, will autotap.com product allow one to read this data and reset the recordings? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif

Thanks!!

I think you are talking about the "black box" in a lot of newer vehicles. I am pretty sure that autotap will not work on that as I think it is separate from the ecm and has a few sensors of its own. Not 100% sure on that though never even thought of trying either. I know our trucks have those boxes because I saw a show about the "black boxes" and one of the vehicles was a 2001 silverado. Oh and from what I heard the box saves the last 5-10 seconds of what the car was doing, i.e. speeding up, braking, etc.
