What do you guys think of this? I'd be pretty thrilled with it, except for the fact that there is no way I've ever had my truck at that speed. Once had it up to about 115 but that was a while back. Any idea what gives?

Hey dh515-- Question...when you had your truck *MAXED OUT*, pedal on the floor, did the speedo stop at 116 mph? Like you hit some other limiter? I have a PPE HOT Xcellerator that supposedly removes the spped limiter and raises the rev limiter, but it was like I hit the rev limiter when I had my truck maxed out. The speedo needle would not get to 120 no matter how hard I tried. Your Edge could be off because of tire size maybe?? BTW how did u get it to do 100% backdown?? Most mines ever done is like 35%, but I have the old Edge v1.0 so something may be different. Last question...was that 0-60 time boosted in 4wd? With a stack you should be able to eek out sub 6 second 0-60 (5.6 is all I can do with a stock tranny).

Regarding the speedo, I can't say it maxed out because I wasn't trying to push it that far. Seemed like it was still going though. On the tire size, I corrected the Edge for tire size and it matches my GPS so I don't think that is it. On the backdown, I don't even know what the hell that is so I don't know how I did it. Is that something to do with the transmission? About the pathetic 0-60 time, that was 2wd just gassing it from a stop. Still trying to find a sweet stack between the E/A and Predator. I'm getting 1093's and other weird codes (NC 101 unknown fault) and haven't found anything that feels good yet. I just finished two days of driving around with just the Predator on 100 and E/A disconnected. Now I'm trying just the E/A. I can already tell the E/A doesn't kick in as soon, although the BS is helping it. How is the PPE for daily driveability?

Maybe you have your tire size entered in wrong? That would throw off the top speed.

Dave--- So far I love the PPE HOT. It adds in lots of guts down low where the Edge doesnt. I only have the 90hp tune loaded because my tranny is not built yet. I tried the 240hp tune once just cause I "had to". Little touchy around town but AWESOME power and CRAZZYYYYY SMOKE!!!! So far the PPE Hot Xcellerator is the hottest (no pun intended) thing out for the LLY...

BTW...the "Backdown" is how much the Edge is defueling to keep EGT's and/or tranny slip in check. Although you shouldnt have any tranny worries... :) Lift pumps will really help out with 1093's...I run two Kennedy Diesel lift pumps.

Thanks for the additional info Ben. Now if you just lived a bit closer so you could reprogram my 6 disc into a lux...:)

ahh yeah...darn those long distances! If your dealer gives you trouble about reprogramming it, just go to another dealer...its not worth arguing with some of those guys!

you know come to think of it my edge showed a record of 206 mph.:eek: I know this PPE is fast but dang.I don't think I'll be getting rid of this programmer, 206 in a 4x4, he** yeah!!:ro)
