I drive my truck hard every now and then and never noticed any smoke, the other day, some jacka## in a toyota thought it would be fun to pass me up hill on the shoulder and cut me off, so I mashed the pedal to the floor, the truck kicked down and flew but black smoke poured out and covered the sucker in the toyota(btw he had his windows down). I know that trucks with juice will smoke, but mine is stock. My question is, Is this normal or is there a concern. It sure was funny, and I wouldnt mind having some more fun. Edited by: ROCKYMTNDMAX

My experience is this, when you haven't been running hard for a while the first good hard blast will blow some soot out the old pipe. This can be very useful at times.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
I putt around seldom exceeding 2000 RPM, but when the moment is right and boot it on up to 3,000http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif.
Otherwise the most I get is a very light brown haze, which is easy to see in the headlights of following off-brand pickups at night, but hard to see in the daytime.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs%20Up.gif
