gmccall 10-20-2005, 09:24 AM Bully Dog transmission has been working great for me for a year now.
I had a Suncoast Stage II before and the driveabilty is the same. Nice.
I went to Bully Dog when I put more power to the Stage II than it was designed for.
A local Vendor had the Bully Dog transmission with him at the track and I took it home.
I would not hesitate to buy another. I run low 8s in the 1/8th mile.

There has been discussion about this in the past. I believe it was Moss022 who had one fail. His was Quadzilla which I believe was said to be the same. It was dissected with pics showing some pretty "unconventional" ways of doing things that did not seem to do well...
dmaxalliTech 10-20-2005, 01:13 PM I feel I can comment on this trans first hand as I watched Nathen from Bully Dog assemble one.
I know exactly what is in them and how they do EVERYTHING.
There is a few things I dont agree with and I think could be done different/better according to what we know about these units. Some of the other idea's they use I like. I dunno about what they cost, so I cant compare it based on price. I would like to see a stouter converter used, aka, triple disk.
JakeGMCHD ripped the one Jeremy had appart. It was a PITA to rebuild. PM him and he will tell ya all about it! He posted the pics as well. Jeremy might still have that tq converter and ask him what he was able to salvage for core charges(another PITA)!
Mike L. 10-20-2005, 10:44 PM If you have a BullyDog trans and it fails, and you decide to have someone else rebuild it, you will pay a huge core charge.

DmaxalliTech,
Has there been any track results to compare the Bully Dog big Single disc converter against the Suncoast Tripple loc converter ?. I have a Tripple loc that I am contemplating replacing my Single disk.
dmaxalliTech 10-21-2005, 08:55 AM I dont know anybody with track numbers on these. I have seen some advertising saying they have trucks with there trans running mid 12's.
Slick 10-21-2005, 09:35 AM The converter in Jeremy's Quad trans. was a single right? Would it be similar to the one in the Bullydog? Might want to compare his 60 times from the quad/single disk to the new triple disk trans. His programming has since changed as well IIRC, might not be apples to apples.
kellyk 10-21-2005, 04:20 PM hey nosliw, what is dtt
