Does anyone know of a programmer for a 2006 Duramax? I have one of the earlier 06's that is still one of the LLY engines. I have read on here somewhere that programmers for the 05 will not work and performance companies will not be making an programmer for the 06 LLY, waiting for the new engine to come out. My goal is better fuel efficiency. I am consistently only getting 12 mpg in town (almost all of my driving). I keep reading about the mileage getting better after the truck is broken in (less than 3000 miles right now), but so far it is not happening. Any advice or assistance is always appreciated.

between the 05 and 06's the computers changed so no the 05 LLY programmers won't work. There are no 06 programmers right now. its been said the 06 LLY will never have one, but its also been said that since the computers for the LBZ and 06 LLY are the same that when those are available they might work on the 06 LLY.

PPE had an 06 at their place they were working on a while back......
I think PPE might have something for 06, not sure though, you might want to check with them........
