Long story short, took the truck in for a squealing U-joint. Fixed that, drove the truck and noticed some slop and a clunk(not audible, just seat of the pants) when coming to an abrupt stop or taking off from a stop. Took it back they lubed the slip yolk. Didn't fix it, took it back and said that I need a new nickle plated slip yolk. They paid for labor on the install of the slip yolk because it never had a clunk before I took it in. Got the truck back and it is 90% better but still a slight clunking fealing when taking off from a stop or coming to a abrupt stop.:cussing:
Any ideas of what to do or look for? I am really kinda bummed out about this. I mean is this the best GM can do as far as keeping a tight driveline? Why would it start after having a U-joint replaced? Thanks for any help.
