I was at the parts store the other night and noticed they had a few of these on the shelf and they were on sale.
I was wondering if one of these would work on my LLY? :help2:

Thats the one I have. Works on my 01 and 05.

I have the most expensive acron scanner and it won't read some codes off my LLY. Not sure why... The PPE xcellerator won't read it either but the predator will. Strange stuff.

Max, which codes won't it read? I am concerned with the big ones, 1093's, problems with the glow plug system or injectors, things like that.

All of these code readers/erasers are made to work with emissions codes sent by the computer, and other simple codes that throw a Service Engine light. They will not show codes that are specific to the truck, ex. dmax codes, allison codes, powerstroke codes. These are specific to the computer that controls them. I have the actron 9135 the are usually around $90 new on ebay. The only way to read every code for most new trucks is to get a tech II or a snapon scantool.

From my experience it will not read 1093's but I don't know about glow plug sys or injectors

That would be because it is made for the DMAX.

Neither my actron nor my PPE xcellerator clear or view 1093's. Thank god I don't get them anymore. They also will not view EGR codes.
