has anyone here ever used copper head gaskets or "o" ringed the block on a 6.5 to try and stop head gasket failure ? is there anyone that makes them or do they have to be custom made if so we could mabey lower compression with them ?

I have a feeling if you oring the head or the block, you will get cracking issues. There is not a enough meat anywhere unless you get brand new casting for heads from GM or a new 2005 AMG block.

head studs seems to have cured any gasket issues for me... peak boost up to 25lbs (18:1 compression).

I think a guy up here is running those or similiar gaskets, but he keeps blowing them out from what i've been told.

Have never heard from you before? Laid down some talk about your truck if you can and share some info on how it performs. You have a killer advantage here with the mechaical pump that you can crank up. I wish I had an older truck now without all the elctronics.
