I think this would be a great idea. Move it to the 2nd alt bracket. A kit would be nice. Brackets, hoses, clamps, wires etc.

only thing is then you loose the ability to have dual alternators. now if there is someplace else to move it to..... My Dad seems to favor the pre oem mounting. Just mho.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Just because I am the curious type, what benefit is there in moving the OEM fuel filter? Is it going to work better, probably not, maybe it's just easier to service if it was mounted in a more convienent place.........maybe. I though there was a vibration issue mounting the OEM or secondary for that matter anywhere directly on the engine. Vibration was said to create a "cleansing" of the filter putting trapped dirt/particles back into circulation where they were more likely to make it through the filter instead of staying trapped (this would be those sub 4 Micron particles).

Anyway, what's the advantage of moving the OEM? Whats the impact on warranty work under 36K and under 100K. Over 100K I can do anything I want and suffer the consequences right!
