Anyone put a Mag-hytec deep transmission pan on? Or a rear end cover? I just ordered mine and would like to know if anyone had trouble installing them. Thanks

I installed the dif cover well over a year ago.

They make by far and away.... nobody even close... the best covers.

When you take it out of the box the quality blows you away.

cwinter,

Are you going to install the new Amsoil Torqu-Drive or their Universal ATF?

I spoke with mag-hytec directly and he recommends 607 ALMASOL

It's mineral based.

Any comments?

Go TranSynd full synthetic if you plan on keeping it buttoned up. Cost too much if you do what Mac does.

Any more details on what Mac does? :)

First of all. Jerry at Mag doesn't know squat about transmissions. I know him well(he is a friend) and i am a dealer. He happens to be correct on the fluid. Dexron 111 won't let you down unless you tow big time or abuse truck. I am not convinced Castrol got their s..t together with Transynd. I am not convinced Amsoil's copcat version does either. Yes, synthetic lowers heat in anything, but did they forgetabout the rubber? Mobil 1 didn't. I have installed Castrol synthetic trans fluid(same as Transynd) by request and seen the results. Every one of these customers has come back and had Mobil 1 installed in place of Castrol. I will use Mobil 1 in my truck.

MAC has had his trans opened up several times http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
Gets expensive cause every time you tear it apart, you use new fluid.
