I just installed my H2's on my 06, do I need to just take the rubber plugs out or trim the 4 tabs as well?

I have the aluminum factory wheels and caps.

Thanks!

What works best to cut them off?

Angle grinder would work fine, but I have them and didn't have to cut the tabs off. The GMC caps fit fine from the PYO wheels.

I am also putting H2 wheels on my Suburban. The 2002 center caps do not fit the H2 wheel. Do I have to trim the cap about 1/2" to make it fit into the H2 opening? I wish I could get longet lugs so I didn't have to trim at all. It seems the center cap is about 1/8" to wide. Thanks

SD1 -- you may have the caps from the steel wheels? If so, they don't fit the H2's without trimming. IIRC, you had to trim the base of the cap about 1/8". I know someone posted a LONG time ago about doing this, but I couldn't find it.

The caps from the aluminum wheels should fit with no problem. The only thing people sometimes have to do is trim the little "feet" off those style centers.
