I think what you may find, from my research anyway, is that on the 03-up trucks that six disc cd player is locked to the vin of the truck it was in. That 6 CD changer will work without the Bose system. When I picked up my 04 the radio face had a deep scratch in it. It was the single CD player without the Bose system. After they installed the wrong radio, my wife brought it back and they put in a second radio. They again put in the wrong radio but it was the 6 CD changer. They left it in and my wife says it works great.

All the steering wheel controls work. I didn't get the XM or On Star with the truck when I bought it. The only thing I am not sure of is if the dealer had to do anything with the computer.

It's time to get the Cloud Rider winter front off, are you going to be handling any of the black screens?


Cloud Rider told me when I got the winter front that they have not had overheating problems with the screens in the summer, and I think the black screen would look a bunch better on my white truck than the factory grill.
