greatings.. let me say im sorry for starting a new thread on something i already asked . i belive i can describe it better this time. Brought my baby home last week. super fine truck. runs killa. looks better than 98 % of the women out there . but there is a chirping sound coming from the rear area of engine on the passanger side.

the chirping starts at or around 175 degrees engin temp. seems to be worse when just maintaining speed and easy acceleration beetween 1500 rpm's and 2300 rpm's. dosent chirp during medium to hard accelerating or coasting. will chirp in park at 2000 rpms but not at idle. makes same sound as fan clutch going bad. dosent seem to affect performance. when engine is cold there is nothing to hear, but the best sounding diesel i have ever heard

went to dealer and saw tech... he said give it 500 -1000 miles that the noise was normal. this is my forth diesel, i know there are lots of little wonderful noise these engines make, and this one seems outta place.

thank you for this web site

Is it the belt tension arm? Mine makes that noise.
