Thats about the same package I ordered in a GMC but I added the cab marker lights, tow hooks, on/off road tires, steering wheel radio controls, 6 way driver power seats, HD tow package and camper wiring harness. The add ons were about $600 or a little better and my sticker price came out to about $41650. Without the add ons you should be at around $41000 or a little less on the sticker price before negotiations.
I did miss the employee pricing so my final price came out to $36143 + TTL. I'm hoping for additional rebates before delivery but I doubt there will be any for the next month or two.

Hope this helps.

We ordered every option on our new 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 D/A LBZ SLT CC DRW 4X4 with the exception of the manual sliding rear window. Our 2006 truck listed for $52543.00, we're paying $44,785.00 with no trade, rebates, or incentives as our truck will be delivered after the current rebates in effect expire. Any rebates in effect at the time of delivery will come off the $44,785.00 sales price. If the current $1000.00 rebate is in effect and with our GM Mastercared rebate, our final price before 5% tax will be $40,285.00.

Truck on!!!

Here is your reference point (adjust up or down from it)...$40,618. MSRP (Window Sticker)

2006 2500HD Ext Cab Short Bed 2WD
2LT (Buckets are Standard on a 2LT)
PDN-Heavy Duty Power Package=LBZ,Allison,G80 Locking Diff.
PY0-Aluminum Wheels
DPN-Mirrors (New for 2006 and similar to Fords towing mirror)
Z82-Trailering package

Right now in SW Missouri...$34,910

Note: Rebates may be different in Texas. You have to go to the 1LT package for a bench seat which is $1700 less than the 2LT unless you add $200 back for the AG1 Power seat...then it is $1500 less.

Hope this helps.

My LT1 extended cab has what I would call cloth covered bucket seats. The drivers side moves on it's own, so does the passenger side. The center section does not move. The sides of the seats wrap around your shoulders and ribs. The back of the seats will go back to about 45 degrees. I wish it did have the bench seat like my 1998 K3500 regular cab. At least the bench seat in my 1998 K3500 had some cushion in them. The seats in the LT3 or my LT1 have the same hard ride.

It was on the build sheet as spare tire delete. A steel rim was included, I don't understand it. Just glad to have found the exact truck I would have ordered minus a spare.

I thought the spare came standard, unless you ordered without a bed. I would print that from the website and show it to them and see if they give you a spare. It's not that the dealership is going to lose any money on a spare tire.

So I can get an idea on the price as a % off sticker, what was the sticker price on the truck. It's hard to compare deals any other way!

That is a great deal. I live in N.Ga where did you get that price at? Best I can find on a Loaded CC/DRW/SLT/4x4 is ~46K + T/T/L.

Is 11-12% off MSRP reasonable?

Here in Memphis a CC/DA 4WD SLT 4SA with skid plates, off road tires, full size spare w/lock, reg mirrors, roof marker lights, HD tow package and wiring for 5th Wheel/camper will MSRP after destinatination charges for $ 49,201 and red tag for $ 42,834. I am assuming any other discounts must be individual dealer negotiations, if not I sure would like to know about it before I make the plunge.....

All I can say is CALL AROUND. Get on the internet. Don't just jump into the first one you see. Know your prices, actually, know THEIR prices and once you know their invoice, offer them $100 over invoice. So far, there are only 2 dealerships that I have had no hassles with in the past and they offer $98 over invoice with no questions. You just tell them what you want and they give you your price. One dealership is Ravenelle Chevrolet in S. Carolina and the other is Karl Tyler Chevrolet. California gave me their best price of $47,000 for the truck I ordered and I walked out their door laughing. I finally went to Karl Tyler and got it for the $42,135.41. The MSRP on it was $50,075.00. The rebates I got were: $1,000 manufacture rebate, $500 military rebate, and a $400 in-store rebate. I am also getting the Line-X bedliner and undercoating done for an additional $465 from their local store. Now that is the best deal I could find. I don't pay taxes because I am from Alaska and that is where I will register it and I only have to pay $5 to transfer my plates to the new truck. Here in California they take every penny from you possible. It is impossible to bypass any taxes in this state, UNLESS you are military and not a California resident. :)

:exactly: It must have been a scratch and dent sale. I cannot see that low of a price. I seen SWB and I figured it could have been, since mine is a long bed, but that is still way too low of a price for a dealership to sell. Unless he had received one of those additional $1000 mailings, and he had some of those GM bonus bucks, and the vehicle was damaged in shipment. Maybe without the dual alternators, without the onstar, without the bedliner and side steps, I can see maybe $39,000 at best. Prove me wrong!! :muahaha:

LBZ Price

If it helps anyone looking for an LBZ, I just bought one in Southern California with a MSRP of $48,285 at $41,548 or 86% of MSRP. Basically $474.92 below Red Tag! May not be the best price, but it works for me! It's it transit, so it's a recent build. It's a 4 x 4, crew, short bed, 3LT LT3.

Hope this helps somebody. :)

You are correct sir! Where I live is still decent when you figure in "total" cost of living considering heating costs, housing, telephone, food costs. Nevada has no state income tax and it still costs more by the end of the year apples to apples comparison! I don't like black ice so I like to keep it just above freezing in the winter! Each choses their own poison in life I guess!

My LBZ is on order. The estimated delivery date was 27 Dec. But I have not heard from Howard yet to get any updates. According to GM it is still status code 3800. I guess it hasn't even made it to any parking lot yet... I guess some crazy GM employee went postal and took my truck. :) Maybe he will be nice and just deliver it to my front door. :) Does anyone know where Howard went? I have emailed him but get no replies. Maybe he is the one that took off with my truck. Maybe he thought mine was the best lookin and took it. :)

OK TACOTOWER, I hate to do this to you, but there is no way in he** you could have purchased a brand new GMC LBZ CrewCab truck that has a MSRP of $49,988 and pay only $37,770 . Even with the $1,000 rebate that is NOT possible, unless you bought a DEMO and even then, I have a hard time believing that a dealer would let such a high demand truck go for $37,770. How about sales tax? Does Colorado charge a Sales Tax on trucks?

I just priced an identical truck with a MSRP of $49,988 and the Dealer Invoice on that truck would be $43,933.87 even if you took the $1,000 rebate that is a long way off from the price you have quoted here. BTW the Red Tag price is ABOVE the Invoice price.

I have a hard time believing that you purchased such a truck or you would have indicated that it also had the factory installed Power-Tilt-Sliding Sunroof that retails for $795. You also did not say that the truck is a 4x4. That is the only way you would be able to get the MSRP Price to EXACTLY $49,988. I find it hard to believe that someone who bought such an expensive truck would fail to notice that it has the factory Sunroof or is a 4x4.

I don't doubt that you may have purchased a truck for $37,770 - but I highly question your statement that it is a 2006 GMC, LBZ, 6 spd. Alli, CC, SWB, Onstar, XM, Leather, Seat heaters, Dual Alternators, Bedliner, Step bars, as you have stated here.

Heck the GM Employe Price for that truck would be $42,460.48 plus Sales Tax minus the $1,000 rebate. How did you manage to get an additional $5,163 under Invoice after the $1,000 rebate? Was the truck wrecked?

Sorry, but your math just doesn't compute!

The only way that could happen is if you got $5,163 worth of equity from a Trade-In. But then, you have to add your trade-in value in order to come up with the REAL price.

I don't know the tax rate here. I avoid it whenever possible. Being in the military, there are little ways of getting around taxes. Except on your everyday little buys. But I do know that when I started looking at the new LBZ's the dealership gave me a quote of $47,000 but then after taxes and registration the total cost was back up over $52,000 again. But because I am in the military, I can purchase OUTSIDE the state of California and register in my home state, OR the state in which I am assigned. I prefer my homestate where there is no taxes.

I wonder if he got the GM Employee Price, minus the $1,000 rebate, minus the $500 Military Discount, minus the GM Card credit maximum of $3,000? That'd put him within ~$200 of the price he said he paid. :confuzeld

He said "...after red tag and incentives rebates I paid $37,770." -The Red Tag price is ABOVE Dealer Invoice. The incentives and rebates are generally deducted after adding Sales Tax.

The MSRP for that truck was at = $49,988.00
If you figure Dealer Invoice at.. = $43,933.87
Add Colorado Sales Tax at 2.9% = $ 1,274.08 (I think it is actually higher)
The TOTAL PRICE for this Truck = $45,207.95
Subtract the $1,000 Rebate get = $44,207.95

Plus Title/License and Registration.

Even if he got the GM Employe Price which is BELOW dealer invoice

The MSRP for that truck was at. = $49,988.00
The GMS Employee Price would be=$42,460.48 (Actual GMS Price)
Add Colorado Sales Tax at 2.9%. = $ 1,231.35
The TOTAL PRICE for this Truck. = $43,691.83
Subtract the $1,000 Rebate get. = $42,691.83

Plus Title/License and Registration.

The $37,770 is still $4,921.83 BELOW this $42,691.83 employee price.

The only way I can figure it, is that he got a GREAT deal on a DEMO (Which is hard to believe) or he got that much in Trade-In equity, but then he needs to add that equity back in order to reflect the true selling price.

Something does not compute here!
