So i have an 03 lb7 4x4 with the AFE stage2, Edge w/ attitude, and exhaust done...whats the next step I can take performance wise without working on the transmission? Any other little things I can do? I was reading about the banks wastegate actuator, but is that really worth the $$$ ?
Any advice/reccomendations would be appreciated.
FYI my overall goal is to run low 13s and have it be the reliable daily driver

keep saving for the trans or you wont get the full potential of anything you add. You'd be suprised how much stronger your Edge box would feel on a built trans even if your trans is in pretty good shape

Yea? what type of trans work is reccomended?

As much as you can afford

Overbuild it the first time so you dont have to worry about it later. A SC III is a great place to start.

Going rate for a SC III is in the 3500 range installed and out the door.

What are the scIII's limitations?? Aside from running on 5, id assume id be able to stack the edge with other programs..

Thats where you want to overbuild. Your already talking of stacking and this thread is less then an hour old.

A III will hold IMO a solid 500 RWHP with no trouble. Like I said, overbuild it as much as you can, a SC IV will be in the 4200 range and is considered a 'competition' trans. It offers line pressure, clutch capacity and other improvements over a III.

If your just looking to run your Edge and maybe a mild stack, a III will be fine IMO though

the SCIII seems like the best bet, do they come with warrantees or anything of the sort?

Its a kit so it depends on installer, if you install it dont F it up:D. Although if a converter kersploads or its obvious a clutch oct that SC provided let lose I'm sure they will take care of you.

I have the PPE boost valve and it works great for only about $30! I can now boost over 30 psi and you can definately tell a difference. This is cheap extra power in my opinion. But the trans is definately a must if you are going to play and stack boxes.
