Here's a couple. I have a lot more but having some issues with my ISP. Seems they moved all my stuff to another server and told me I'm about 300 meg over my quota http://dieselplace.com:82/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Here is the Bosch CP3 injection pump. Same as the one on the Dmax.

I could not believe they only had GM trucks there with LB7's in them and the display engine was an LB7 with last year's hp/tq numbers. I really wanted pics of the new LLY Dmax too.

After talking to a rep there I figured out that they play along with your level of knowledge, pretending to no know anything but when you confront them with what you know, they supposedly concede that they knew. Had a good conversation but it was pretty obvious that they are paid promotional people only.

The new Ford Mustang body style is really nice. More like the original than ever.

On the Ford truck side, there were no reps hanging around the powerstroke. Can't imagine why.Edited by: hoot

Hoot,

Spectacular photo's. Lots of time and skill to do that. Thanks.

Agree with you on the position of the injectors for replacement. Probably always going to wonder why that does not seem to be an issue and also thankful it is not.

Nice photos!!! thanks...

Re: injector location - doesn't seem any worse than the location on an ISB, it took about 45 minutes to swap all six of mine with DD3-s... I'm guessing you pull the valve cover, loosen the rockers and rotate them out of the way, then remove the retaining bolt?

45 minutes?

It would take me that long to find my tools.

Is it just me or is the fuel filter on the dodge 600 A LOT bigger than the Dmax?

Does this mean that GM filter is undersized? hmmmmm........let me thinkhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wacko.gif

Actually the filter media inside is about the same size.

More power more power, I have enough lets make them make 30mpg instead of 400 hp. hows that for a goal

Buy a TDI if you want better mileage. I want more power! That is why I bought a truck and not a fuel efficient car. (Well one of the reasons.)

That IS a goal.

Most likely not to be achieved in our lifetime.

Give me the power, screw the reliabilty, who cares about the mileage? Just make it feel good, look awesome, and most importantly, put a smile on my face! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I actually mention the desire quite some time ago on GM-Diesel.... that I would probably look at it when the time came.

I took those pics at the show cause I take a camera and it was there. Thought it would be a nice addition to this sites info.

And it is - I noted with interest the square-cut drive-gear train, along with real tappets. Haven't seen any of those in automotive and light truck since - well, that would be telling my age, but seems primitive, since even the old 6.2L had roller lifters.

Thanks for the pictures. My brother and I are trying to decide which technology Cummins 6BT would work out best in our identical '91 GMC crew cabs. I'm leaning toward '03-'04 for noise levels, mileage, and power.

Hoot,

The lift pump is gear driven?

Unlike the older lift pumps from 98 on up to 2002.

Hoot,

That is the exact pump that is on the Duramax. It has a high pressure side (the radial pistons) and the low pressure lift pump (gear rotors).

The Duramax gets by with that alone.

The Cummins uses that AND has an electric lift pump mounted to the side of the fuel filter canister.

Now that we all know the new Dodges are copied DuraMax's, now we have to call them Pads for Cumminhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif Or something like that.

That pump that the goat farm put on the cumalong is 100% (ha ha) junk. Schied Diesel is replaceing them regurarly. This is where I got my info for the lift pump I am running. Get ready to replace yours about the time it goes out of warranty if it last that long and takes your injectors with it due to low pressure. Whats the deal you tring to turn this place into a rattler place.

hahahaha geno i love you.

Since the CP3 high pressure pump is the same one that's on the Dmax.... a broken lift pump will not hurt it. They were having those issues with the previous generation engines but you are definately using ancient information from an older model truck. You need to read faster. You haven't caught up with the times yet.

Yes I'm rattling this place. Enjoy
