Anyone have any problems with their heated mirrors (STD ones) which came on their 2004? Mine don't seem to be working and wondering if they are 'shut off' similar to some Fog Lamp setups which people add. Of course the mirrors here are stock. Any definitive way to test them?
Thanks

I think they only work when the rear defrost is on.

HarryK,
Funny,on my wifes 04 tahoe the dealer told me they are always on(w/key). Shows how much a salesman knows.

The passenger mirror on my 2003 Tahoe has cracked 2 times in 8K miles.
It developes a hairline crack across the glass when the weather is below feezing and the heated mirrors/defroster is on.

Tony,
That better not happen with mine, I've got the turn signals in mine and I can only imagine how pricey they could be

I just reach out and put my hand on the mirror surface - it feels warm when they're on!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif

Spray a little water on there and turn it on. They should dry the water up in no time......at least mine does.

I heard that they pop out real easy.........2 wires attatched to the back of the glass.
There was a thread here about it, MaxPower would know more than me.

Tony,
Does your mirrors have the turn signal's?
or does that even make a difference?

I have the NO-FRILLS mirrors.
No turn signals and no courtesy lighting under the mirror http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif.
Yes that would make a difference having the turn signals in the glass.
I bought off the lot so I made compromises.........has most everything I wanted.
