Hey guys--I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about Bridgestone Revo's if you're considering a set.

Right now there is a mail-in rebate for $75 when you purchase a set of four tires.

I finally bit the bullet and got a set of 265 Revo's yesterday, and I really like them so far. They completely changed the look of the truck in my opinion!

Wet traction seems to be good, and they're very quiet. Time will tell how they do otherwise...

What did you pay for them out the door? I think I am paying too much locally.

I paid $187.00 per tire minus the $75.00 rebate, so that comes out to $168.25 per tire out the door if my math is correct.

That's a lot of money for a dang tire, but if they'll last it's worth it. Plus they're just a great looking tire in my opinion. We'll see...

I could get pics if I could manage to steal my roommate's digital cam--shouldn't be that big of a deal. I'm bigger than him anyway. :)

I'm not sure they make 'em big enough for ya! Are you after a 285/75 on a 16?

Ok Tys--

I checked and a 285 is the biggest the Revo's come. They state their 285/75 is a true 33" tire. Down here I could get those for about $180 out the door.

I would be looking for a 305/70/17.........Bummer

Well ****, I think you're outta luck on the Revos then. Have you looked at the Toyo A/Ts? They're a good tire that comes in a wide range of sizes.

I sure like the looks of the MTRs, but they are damn pricey.

No not yet....gonna have to do some looking. Might go with an 18" rim cant find the propper load rated tire in that size. Kinda scarey pullin the 5er.....

Just paid $187 ea. out the door for 285 revos, not including the $75 rebate, from Discount Tire. 265 Es were about the same price. They always have the best prices and policies. Picked up the no deductable road hazard for $17/tire. I always end up using it on at least one tire.

Do you fellas have an update on your Revo's.....I thinkin' about gettin' a set. Not sure if I want to go with a 265 or 285. Do the 285's rub at all ? How far off will the speedo and DIC be ?
Thanks

I bought the 265E's as I didn't want to mess with the t-bars. They ride very nice and have very good traction. On the downside, they pickup and throw stones something fierce.

Coyotekid,
How do the Revo's compare to the Toyo A/T's? I have the Toyo's currently and I am curious how the two tires compare in ride, handling, noise, wet traction, wear, etc.;)

I got my 265 Revos on my 1995 for $135 plus tax. I think I was out the door for like $580 or so. And that is not counting the mail in rebate (which my guy said was $100).

I've noticed that a lot of people on the board tend to pay higher prices than those that I see around here. I wonder if it is regional differences or what?

I'm pretty sure that the price difference is because you are not running a E rated tire on your 1500.

Watch out for the load ratings when you compare prices:
There is 3 !! different REVO AT 265-75-16 with 3 different ratings , with a listed $40 price range !!!

I'm due for a new set of rubbers, what kind of mileage/longevity you guys been getting out of the Revo's? Looks like at about 25k is all I'm going to get on the original tires. . .
Definitely going with 265's, I don't want to mess with the T bars and I still want to reach the lumber rack.

I love my 265 Revos. I got them at costo for $689 out the door. They are load range E and I absolutely love them. They have good traction and are very quiet. They also made my speedo more accurate than the crappy Big O 245's I had. If you still want pics, I have some here.

Ah yes, the Costco membership will pay off again. Wish they sold Barrett .50 cals there!

Mine are wearing great...285's need the torsi0on bars cranked about 5 turns and the drivers front fenderwell needs to be zip tied to the e-brake cable...very little rubbing on the corner of the air dam at full lock...

OK, here's an update on mine...

I have the 265/75 16s in E rating. At first, the tread squirm really had me bugged. It went away after I had 500 miles on the tires, and now I notice no handling abnormalities.

The tires are very quiet, and at 5,000 miles they seem to be wearing evenly. Traction is good, but I just don't have enough experience with these tires yet to make a really good review.

So far I'd recommend a set.

I've got 285 Revo's with 31,400 miles and I'm starting to need tires. I really like this tire, but I wish mine were the newer Revo's that they are selling now. The center block on the one's now have another cut in them. You supposedly get more mileage out of the newer ones. If I don't get a mud tire, I'll get the Revo's again.

Great tire, awesome wet traction. I had them on my last truck. They are quiet also. Even the D rated tire (8 ply) is load rated at 3,305. The OE E rated tires are 3,042.
Another way to get a good price is to buy them at Firestone but take the tirerack.com price with you, which they will match. I paid $178 for the 285's.

Hacksaw, you are correct, I am not running E rated tires. I should have made that more clear. But even still, the price I saw on the E rated tires was a lot cheaper than what people on here are quoting.

Oh, and btw, I have the "SL" tires....and when I compared them to the C-rated tires the SL's have a higher weight capacity. But the SL's were quite a bit cheaper than the C-rated tires. Other than the slightly shorter tread depth, what what else is causing them to cost so much less?

I'm sure it's a marketing decision, more than an engineering issue, but you'd think that with all of the demand for the Revo's, Bridgestone would expand their size offerings. I've got to believe they would sell well in 17" (beyond 265), 18" and 20" offerings.

When i got my revos a year ago for 17 inch H2s they said there was no letter code rating, meaning 2500 lbs. each but since i dont tow they were fine, were these tires for a 1500? I now see revos for 17 inch in a E rating, does anyone know is this a new tire or did they just sell me what they had?I did only pay $500.00 with m/b and road warr.

I put them on the back of my car, P225/70/R15 is the size for my car and these things are awesome. A little pricey, I paid something like $125 each tire mounted and balanced but the traction these things offer esspecially in the rain is great. My father also has them on his '02 dumptruck and he likes them to but the one front tire always seems to wear out uneven because of this sh***Y steering/suspension setup that I really wish GM would do away with. Not to start a IFS rant thread but it's ashame GM makes a pretty damn good truck but yet has to stick you with IFS and a dual mass flywheel for the diesel/stick shift trucks.
