Took all the rattle out of the column. For how long, I do not know. But for now, I'm happy. It's the latest greatest, but I'm dying to cut it open and see what's with the extra bulge at the bottom. Don't see a reason for it, but obviously GM/Bosch/Isuzu does. I love it though, saved me 20 minutes and $30. Max Power 10-04-2005, 07:06 PM The reason for the extra bulge is that they wanted a longer filter media and on an LB7 the valve cover is in the way. They had to cut it in to miss rubbing on the valve cover. If they tightened it enough to dent it, you may have fun changing it next time. I just want to go in and get the filter and change it myself. Not sure if the local dealership will go for that, but I am sure I can get it through the dealership my brother-in-law works at.
