Well I was almost positive that I was going to order the cognito 7-9" kit. But started thinking about this kit. My question is does the CST 9-11" require driveshafts to be lengthened?

If it's a shortbed I believe so but if it's a longbed no.

Just the front driveline. I have this kit on my diesel and the rear driveline did not need to be lengthened but the front did.

Driveshaft was altered on my longbed... I think it depends on whether it's a 1 PC. or 2PC. At least that's what I recall from the guys at White Motorsports telling me upon quoting my lift. Good luck with the lift! You'll dig it

Thanks for the info guys. But from the sounds of it I am going to be looking at the 6-8" now instead :(

Would a straight axle conversion be better than a 9-11 inch kit? That far needs a lot of pieces to strenghten frame, not to mention the added stress on upper ball joint. That joint ain't the strongest thing I've ever seen, actually sorta puny IMO.

I put the cst 9-11" kit on about a month ago and i did not lengthen the driveshaft in the rear, comes with a drop down block where the driveshaft connects to the second piece, i'd say go with it if i were you, everything is great so far plus you'll get more *****es;)

As far as the frame goes its plenty strong . I also went with the Fabtech pitman arm, idler arm and tie-rods. The truck feels alot more solid than it did when it was stock. As far as price between the two I don't know what a good conversion would cost but my lift wheels and tires was right around 8 grand.
