I just got back from 900 mile road trip. I rode with a buddy to Highmore SD to pick up a combine header. He has an 03 Duramax and we towed down a 30' flat deck.

Truck pulled great with no problems.

He has a Lund sun visor on it. What a piece of CRAP. 900 miles of listening to a POS visor vibrating is enough to drive a man insane. I can't believe anyone in their right mind would put one of these on their truck. Anyone who is considering getting one, I HIGHLY recommend against it. :badidea:

Sorry for the  but my ears are still ringing from the vibration. Unbelievable.

Were they ever?

I've heard the sun visor costs 1-2mpg.

I'm still debating whether or not to install my window visors... bought 'em on eBay two days after I bought the truck, then got the windows tinted.
The visors have been sitting in the corner of my office ever since they arrived around Sep 1. Since I went with a darker tint on the front, I'm not "needing" them the way I did with my Tundra, which only had 30% tint.

Anybody want them?

OK guilty, I've always thought the visors looked kinda cool, but I've never heard anything good about them from an unbiased source.

I'm going to do cab lights instead!

I thought Max was talking about those ugly things that went above your front windshield. Are you talking about the ones that go over your roll up windows or front windshield?

He was... but then the topic diverted to other add-ons like the cab extensions, so I threw in my $0.02 on the window visors.

I put them on. I think they look good. (that's just me though)

My 99 had them. I liked that you could crack the windows when parked to let heat escape....and no rain would get in should it pour.

Also on the highway if your want your window cracked (it seems to me) that the noise was less irritating with the visors on.

I have a 03 GMC Sierra with a lund visor with lights, looks sharp and not a sound out of it. Most common problem with visor install is over tightening, you will get vibration every time if not done correctly!

We had an old guy that worked with us a while back. One day a truck comes in with all the Lund "stick on garbage" that you could throw at it... He says "Dayum, that truck looks like it drove down tacky street with a crap magnet" Funniest damn thing I ever heard:lol:

Yes, I love putting extras on my truck but hate all the advertising these companies think they need to put on every piece,I really hate auto dealer tags.

We've been lucky in California... dealers never used the factory style tags where they drilled the deck lid on the driver's side... just a license plate frame is all we had to deal with.

Lately, they've been using vinyl lettering... on the rear glass on pickups and SUVs, sometimes on the paint on cars, but it comes off easily.
