i don't think gm ever built a 3500 sub. i do beleive that there are some custom dealer coversions built off the 3500 p/u frames, kinda like the ford centuerions?

My Suburban might as well be a 3500 SRW. I pulled all of the RPO codes and the guy special ordered the rig with every heavy duty option he could. The front torsion bars are bearly cranked on(not even 1/3 of the way on the adjuster), they are the ones for the snow plow prep package. The rear springs are massive 6 leafs(I know all of the 6.5 Subs had 6 leafs), the same 6 leaf pack my buddys 95 3500 dually has just no extra overload. It rides nice, but I can fill it with people and a trailer and it still doesn't sag. I've looked at several Subs and a couple of them were diesels and none of them had the springs that mine has. Another thing is when I got the chip for mine(big mistake), the ECM turned out to be a 1 ton. So if they built one mine is as close as it could be, but it is still badged as a 2500.

I do not know what engine but they did build a 3500 Suburban. They were built for the Secret Service to handle the weight of a bullet proof vehicle.

I work at the County that Reno, Nevada is located in and we have a couple 3500 6.5 "F" Suburbans. I am waiting for them to go to auction :ro)
