Often, I work on DOT construction jobs and I have been contemplating installing a set of police/ambulance strobes into the headlights and tailights. Does anyone reccomend a brand to use or are there packages.

I have Whelen in mine.

i use whelen, though everyone will have the own favorite brand. i installed them in my POV, FireFighter, so i can run them down the road. put a set in the day time driving light dome and the other in the turn signal in the rear. they are drilled in and all functions work for standard opp with the vehicle lights. in my spare time i install the new sets on the police cars for the city........ so i put a set together for my self with lelt over parts and ones that they were throwing away that were broke ( power supply ), i sent them in to get repaired...... switches mounted by the cig lighter.

I like Tomar Neobes..10 year warranty and you can put them anywhwere..Power Packs that is. I have maounted a bunch above the spart tire and under the bed OUTSIDE on many vehicles with no problems...

Whelen all the way!!! The Whelen factory is located right at the airport that I fly out of. Chester Airport (3B9) in Chester, CT. Whelen did all the lighting at Chester and I know one thing...man even tho its a small little airport, it has top of the line lighting and you can see it for miles at night from the air!! Ive been around the Whelen buildings a couple times too...cool place!!
