I have a 1992 6.2 190,000 miles.For the last month or so at idle the thing rattles like it's coming apart.when you accelerate,it goes away.Any ideas?

It is real common for the power steering bracket to break where it bolts to the water pump.


Otherwise it could be a tough one to find, had a lose air cleaner cover make a lot of noise.

Thanks for the reply,I went out this morning and looked at the p.s. bracket and it was ok I then looked at the harmonic balancer and bingo there it was SHOT! How big of a job/cost is this?
