If I get the pcm reflashed (updated EGR diagnostics, fuel filter condition, etc), will I have to send my Edge back to be reprogrammed as well like with some of the other tuners? Don't wanna get that done then be without the POWER!!!:ro)

getting updates on your truck shouldn't affect the edge at all, but make sure you remove it when you go to the dealer of course. I've had all the updates done to mine and still run the previous version Edge and have no issues.
You might check your Edge box, you may already have 1.2 version.

Of course I know to remove it! Just was concerned as to the outcome, thanks for the reply!

The dealer says they can't find any updates for my truck. It was build in 11/04. Also had no clue about the fuel filter life monitor.

typical of the dealers, mine told me the exact same thing. Tell them to hook it up to the Tech 2 and they will see that updates are available. Also, go here http://calid.gm.com/vci/VINEntryPre.do
put in your VIN and bring them the print out

dealer yesterday could not get fuel filter reminder to work since my truck was built in 12/04. They spent one hour on phone with GM and were told I have all updates but this one won't work on my truck! Oh well. Plus I definitely need to learn how to do the fuel filter which was highway robbery ($135 in labor). The removed the inner wheel well to get at it. Filter was $41. I was completely shocked. So I guess I have 15000 miiles to go in order to learn.

I dont know why the dealers are so clueless and stupid about this Fuel Filter Life update. I wish someone from GM would clue them in...ITS FOR ALL FRIGGIN 2005's, GET WITH THE PROGRAM, DEALERS!!! It was like pulling teeth with mine to get them to update it. I argued with them and they said there was no such update, but that they would update the PCM software to fix the surging issue. Well, got back in the truck when they were done, and FUEL FILTER LIFE 100% popped up on the DIC. Idiots updated it and didnt know it...they had no idea what they were even programming into my truck haha...oh well im happy...it works now...

...same thing no? pop ups are enabled by default.. you have to disable the blocker if you have one, which he does since its hanging at that point.
