I was just wondering, if I put a cummins engine and a straight axle front end in my 94 chevrolet dually what class would I pull in? I know the rules state that it must be a oem engine and stock suspension to run in the street class but would this be an exception? I am going to be runing a 12 valve engine with the stock turbo and injection system so I would think I could still pull in the Stock/street class. What do yall think?

Yes, you can run in the street dhra class with that, any oem engine in any truck will work(1 ton or smaller that is).

It all depends.....

DHRA run a pretty limited schedule, so I wouldn't base my decision totally on them. For example, around here, Full Pull Productions is the promoter at 20+ events. So find out who is running the events you're most likely to pull at and read their rules.

FPP street class does not allow engine swaps. I have read several other organizations' rules and see the same thing.

So, before you go off the deep end, make sure you'll have a home wherever you intend to pull.
