From reading the posts here and doing research on the Web. I am convinced this is a good way to increase lubricity of diesel fuel.


I am looking to buy 100% biodiesel and blending it at a 1% ratio. It looks like this is a good blend based on my readings on the biodiesel.org site. I would be adding a quart to each tankfull.

Ouch! for that kind of money you can make your own. lubricity aside you need the bio fuel for its solvating properties. Such as, on your truck you have the higher pressure common rail and pilot injection. These systems are sensitive to fuel quality. As time goes on you build up petro resins in the fuel system. The first time biodiesel goes in a truck thats seen a few miles on petrolem diesel, it turns the fuel filter black with carbon residues, even if you used fuel addative preveously.
