I am seeing extremely high slip % with my Edge on any setting. Going up a hill today, the tranny kicked down and I saw 70%+ on the gauge!

Is this normal or is the tranny fried with only 8,500miles on it??

Thanks for the help!

Normal. It won't show any slip once the torque converter is locked up.

so when i am driving down the freeway and just cruisen at a steady speed there should be no slip right because the converter should be locked because mine is at 37% i know my trans is messed up right now drives fine but has limped 4 times now. but been good for a few weeks now no limping

Man you've limped it 4 times??? I have my (90hp tune) PPE HOT Xcellerator stacked with the Edge and ive NEVER limped it. And ive done a few 1/4 mile runs with the Edge on 5/5 and the PPE on 90hp. My tranny seems pretty strong... And you show 37% slip with the TCC locked? I'd be careful because that thing could buy the farm any day...

Put it in T/H mode to check it out. You will see slip in 1st gear, but once it hits 2nd, the slip should be 0% IIRC. If you still see slippage, then you have a tranny issue, Jerry.
