Don't know if anyone has seen these yet....but HERE THEY ARE!! THE NEW GMT-900 CHEVY TAHOE!!! The interior is insane...it looks too nice to be a GM vehicle):h . Im not quite sure yet how I feel about the exterior...Im not completely turned off to it...I think it will really grow on me and Ill love it in a few months or so. The engine list is awesome, as is the new 6L80-E 6-speed tranny with manu-matic control, like the MW7 Allison. Displacement on Demand, Variable Valve Timing, and 400 hp from the Escalade engine!!!!:ro) Even the good ole' 5.3 is 320 hp. And finally the Escalade really gets diffferentiated from the other GMT-900s...it gets its OWN interior, very unique exterior body panels, and 22" wheels! I am also really impressed with new things GM incorporated into the -900s, among the main things being safety features. I mean reading down the list, the things are fortresses. Stabilitrak and OnStar standard on every model, seat-belt pretensioners for front AND REAR (Ive never heard of rear pretensioners before), dual front dual-stage airbags (obviously), side impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and finally head airbags. Also a cool thing is "pro-active roll protection". If the vehicle starts to skid out of control, Stabilitrak immediatly cuts the power and works the brakes independantly to right the vehicle (although its much more advanced and precise than the GMT-800 Stabilitrak). If Stabilitrak still cannot pull the vehicle in from a severe skid, it starts monitoring roll-sensors. If a roll-over is imminent and unavoidable, the instant the vehicle starts to roll, it fires all of the seat-belt pretensioners, deploys the side-impact airbags, deploys the head-curtain airbags to cushion the occupants from the roll-over, and finally calls OnStar. OnStar is also improved and can relay crash severity and type information back to the OnStar center. For example, if the vehicle is in a very severe accident and there is no response from the occupants, OnStar can relay that the car was in a very serious accident and the OnStar center can dispatch the appropriate Emergency Medical Services, such as Life-Star. I just think that is so cool and get chills thinking about how incredible some of the new features (especially safety) are in the -900's. There are also power-lift gates, power fold rear seats, HID headlights, rear parking assist, and backup camera when the Navigation unit is opted. I can't wait to see one in person. I think they would really look nice in dark colors, such as navy blue or Black...
Oh yeah...heres the website of the pics...click them to get high res versions...:D
