I'm new to Diesel's My choises for oil are the Penzoil long life, Shell Rotella T, Cheveron Delo 400, or the Castrol Oil.


I'm in So Cal so it doesnt get to cold out here.


Local dealer suggested the Penzoil and AC Delco PF2232


What do you guy's think?????


Don't want to go the Synth route.....

Everyone has there brand of oil they like or think is better. Myself I like cheveron 15w 40 oil myself. Its what i use at work in the intire fleet with many trouble free miles. (example; powerstrokes in transit buses 200,000 + miles) Plus cheveron was the only company that did not have to change there additives or specs for the new EGR spec engines, that tells me they made a quality product long before the others.

Mobil Delvac 1300 for dino. This are my choice. you can get it at Wallyworld for less than $6.00 a Gallon.

That's my oil system.

I like the Schaeffers stuff myself, its not as cheap as the dino stuff, but I think its good stuff...good ol ac delco filter cleans out the pieces

The 5wt slams your hot idle oil pressure to 16lbs (not good)

Rotella T has always been our choice.

Rotella-T 15w40 and the big black oil filter that was original equipment on the DMax. The Parts Manager at my dealer indicated that he will probably quit stocking the big black Isuzu filter that was OEM and begin carrying the AC filter.
