i ordered my new truck and i will have it in 4 weeks

1. anyone know if the exhausts will be the same so i can order it ahead of time so i can put it on asap?

2. if i eliminate the cat on it are there sensors behind the cats?

3. any places have the cold air kits and chips available yet?

Camaroracer,
I have an 06 LLY and the exhaust was different,I would wait. Banks and TTS have a system almost ready, same companies working on tuners and chips, Banks figures 90-120 days. I believe the electronics will be the same as the early 06 lly, contact manufacturers once you get your truck. . I dont know enough about these trucks to answer your question about sensors,I can tell you that I could find none attached to my cat,but Banks wont be making a straight pipe for my Cal. vehicle, lot of guys on this site had problems setting codes when cat was removed, but you are getting a completely different motor, see LLY v. LBZ answered and other threads. My advice is be patient and wait before ordering any aftermarket stuff. Con tact manufacturers when u get your vehicle and if you r close enough to them they will want to look at it.
I dont what other manufacturers may be developing systems Edge,etc..

I just put back my factory radio into my 2002 2500hd and when I start the truck the lights(display, clock) on the radio go out.

But when I turn the key backwards the lights(display work fine).

Anyone got a clue why? I need to get this fixed quick as I am going to be trading the truck in soon.

Unless GM works magic I don't think you will have it in 4 weeks. Hell it going to take 4 weeks after its been built to just get it to me..

4weeks just to get it to you??? youre not my dealer?? thats what my salesman told me. when i ordered my 04 i had it in literally 3 weeks!!!! i guess i mustve hit the batch of trucks when they were assembling it on the line for my options etc

A few items could have happened for you to get your last truck in three weeks: 1) you live close enough to Michigan so your unit was delivered via truck, 2) an order was cancelled that was very similar to yours and yours was bumped ahead to fill in, 3) due to option grouping, your order got pulled ahead, 4) your dealer was able to modify an order he already had in the system to your specs, or 5) you ordered when they were relatively few orders, which is the opposite of what is now happening.

Also, see Howard-m18's reply, that truck that was supposed to take 4 weeks, will be in Massachusetts today!
