I have torn down the '91 6.2L that I going to Turbocharge and put in my 67 C-30, and I was wondering what head gaskets should I go with. Should I go with replacement '91 vintage 6.2L gaskets, or newer 6.5TD gaskets since I am going to turbocharge. What brand is considered better Fel-Pro, Victor, Some other brand??? Besides head gaskets and head bolts, what other things should I do to insure good service from a Turbo'ed 6.2L. Thanks!

Stay with fel pro. You can use the 6.5 gaskets if you like, they move the fire ring a little further from the edge of the cylinder, but they are both good. You might want to consider arp head studs for a little better reliability. Head gaskets will be your weak link as well as piston crowns. Keep your boost to under 12 psi and keep tabs on egt's, don't exceed 1100 f for any length of time.;)

Would the .010" thicker 6.2 gasket or the 6.5TD gasket lower CR more??
