I am thinking about getting a chip for my 2005 Duramax. Mainly to help with fuel economy. Is there any agreement among owners as to what chips perform best. What about the warranty? 5500 mi. and 15 mpg. currently.

There are so many chips out there now, but I do know that I have an Edge and for the street its really nice. The on the fly control of power is good and fuel milege is getting better. I have seen 20 ish on the average since I hit 7,500 miles. But bang for the buck, gauges and power the Edge w/attitude is your best option. But if you want to do racing and truck pulling, go with something else, cause the Edge is all about safety. My father runs the Van Akken and it does well. All depends of what you want. If you want power at your finger tips, Edge or Van Akken, but if your looking for a program to just set and leave alone, go with a affordable, but very well worth it from what I read the Predator, or the Hypertech. Not really sure what your looking for though. Also the new EZ Edge is supposed to be well worth the money. To many to choose from, but I do know the Edge w/attitude and Van Akken get just about the same mpg, if you can keep your foot out of it. Good luck.
