This was a peformance boost install article in my newest eddition of Trailer life Magazine. It was about installing a performance air filter in a 4.2 ltr. Trail Blazer. Earliar today I was staring down a 2005 GMC Duramax while working on the road and stoped to talk to the truck owner. He lifted the truck hood for me and low and behold, he also had this performance filter installed in his truck. He loved it. Is this worth looking into for better fuel economy.

nope. if you read through this section where I moved your post.. there is no benefit what so ever really of a performance air filter on a Duramax. The main reasons people do it are looks and louder turbo whistle, thats it.
